Die Geschichte
Evangelistria stands near the eastern edge of Markopoulo, within a private enclosure. The small vaulted church has a later timber-roofed entrance space, illustrating the additions that shaped many local chapels. It is dedicated to the Annunciation, celebrated on the twenty-fifth of March. This is a living place of worship rather than a permanently open museum, so arrange access before entering the grounds.
