Die Geschichte
Koroni projects into the sea on the southern side of Porto Rafti’s bay. Its ancient walls and other remains have prompted debate about military occupation and the wider settlement landscape. Archaeological research continues to refine that picture. From an authorised viewpoint, the peninsula helps explain the strategic appeal of this sheltered coast. Do not treat the ruins as a marked visitor route unless local access has been confirmed.
