Die Geschichte
On the approach to Porto Rafti’s harbour, Agios Nikolaos preserves the small scale of an older coastal settlement. The original vaulted chapel was enlarged as the surrounding neighbourhood grew. Its dedication to Saint Nicholas fits naturally within this maritime setting. Pause in the courtyard and look towards the bay: church, harbour and daily life meet here within a few steps.
